mardi

Today has been a long day. I did not have a chance to take pictures of my outfit but I do have some dream outfits that I have made on polyvore.com. I love that website. Anyone who likes to design outfits or even rooms should make an account on polyvore. It is also a great way to waste time during English class :).

la vie....

Sorry about the inactivity. I have been without a camera lately. I must say though, I have fallen in love with the new Bravo tv show called "9 by Design". That couple is so inspirational in the idea that they are completely self-taught designers who just decorate for themselves. I wish I could do that with lofts in New Orleans but know that I couldn't keep moving. I have too much trouble moving to new places.

Today's look...
Loving the spring weather! Today's look features a sleeveless blouse that buttons down the back. I've had it so long I have no idea where it came from.

I bought this bubble skirt almost five years ago. It's one of my favorite skirts because it is made out of drapery fabric.

The jewelry is simple today: My mom's silver bangle, and a ballet slipper charm bracelet- a gift from my best friend from SIXTH GRADE. Haha, it still looks great with everything that I wear.

Finalement... the beaded shoes are four years old. They are still my favorite sandals. I bought them at Macy's!

p.s. I got into SCAD yesterday! (Savannah College of Art and Design) It's a top choice of mine. I'm so excited :D

pour la semaine...

Like I said a few days ago, I have been going through my wardrobe to create new outfits. I have decided that I will not be shopping for anything but shoes for a long time.I am determined to find at least 5 ways to wear each article of clothing that I own. That's a huge goal and probably won't happen but in doing so, I should be able to find ways to wear a lot of things that go unworn for years.

Here's the new outfit of the week!

The yellow floral blouse is extremely vintage from my mother. The pink floral chemise is from Gap, the red and gold bracelets were a gift, and the red jelly bean flats are thrifted.

à la plage

My spring break seemed a lot shorter than it should have been. But it was still very nice to get out of town for a little while. I went with two friends to the beach :)

I packed wayy more than I could possibly ever need.

jeudi

Lately, I have been going through all my clothes and trying to figure out new ways to wear them. There will always be a few miscellaneous articles of clothing that I struggle with.

I LOVE this silk jacket and have no idea where it came from. I have figured out how to wear it but...

...the dilemma now is figuring out when to wear the outfit. :p. I feel like it isn't casual enough for school but then again, do I ever dress casually for school?

The Beginning...

I never thought that I'd actually do this but here I am. I have been inspired by so many of the amazing bloggers out there that I thought maybe it is possible that I can inspire people too. This is by no means an attempt to become famous, be featured in a magazine, or even an attempt to have 1000 viewers. I guess it is just an experiment. I love beautiful things whether that be fashion, art, music, interior design, cuisine, the weather... I would just love to be able to share what I love and believe is truly beautiful in the world with anyone who chooses to tune in and read this. :) Thanks!

On the other hand, I couldn't possibly have a blog without pictures so here is my first one. I bought an orchid on sunday at a show at the botanical gardens. It was the cheapest one there coming to a grand total of $8.00. I couldn't resist buying it though. I am just as excited to have a plant in my room now as I would be having a new pet. I named my flower Khadejah. It's an Arabic name with apparently no meaning at all but all in all still a very beautiful name for an exquisite flower.
